Fun Fact of the Day: Scrubs

For all you hardcore Scrubs fans out there, you’ll know that the show’s main character, J.D., was loosely based off of Jonathan Doris, who is a college friend of the show’s creator, Bill Lawrence. So how exactly is this tied to our beloved university? Turns out Jonathan Doris’ stories came from his some of his experiences as a resident of internal medicine at Brown’s very own Alpert Medical School. So yes, it’s safe to say that Brown had a hand in creating Scrubs, and yes, Brown is just that awesome.
